Refund and Returns Policy

At Smart Study ACCA, we are committed to providing the highest quality educational services. However, we understand that there may be situations where you may require a refund or cancellation. This policy outlines our approach to refunds and returns, in compliance with UK laws, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

  • Digital Products: Once digital products (such as course materials, video lectures, or downloadable content) have been accessed or downloaded, you are no longer eligible for a refund, as these are intangible and non-returnable goods.
  • Live Courses: Refunds for live courses, such as live online classes, are only available if requested at least 14 days prior to the start of the course. After this period, no refunds will be issued unless there are extenuating circumstances.
  • Course Bundles: If you purchase a course bundle, any refund request will apply to the entire bundle. Partial refunds are not available for individual courses within a bundle once they have been accessed.

2. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Send an email to info@getsmartstudy.com with the subject line “Refund Request” and include your full name, course name, and reason for requesting a refund.
  2. Response Time: We aim to respond to refund requests within 3 business days. Once your request is approved, we will process your refund within 10 business days.
  3. Refund Method: Refunds will be processed using the original payment method. Please note that your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process and post the refund to your account.

3. Cancellations

  • Pre-Course Cancellations: If you cancel your course enrolment at least 14 days prior to the start date, you are eligible for a full refund. Cancellation requests made within 14 days of the course start date are not eligible for a refund, except in exceptional circumstances.
  • Ongoing Courses: If you have already begun a course and wish to cancel, you will not be entitled to a refund. However, you may still access course materials for the duration of your enrolment period.

4. Extenuating Circumstances

We understand that unforeseen events may occur, such as serious illness, bereavement, or other significant life events. In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation. While refunds in such cases are not guaranteed, we may consider offering a partial refund or deferring your course to a future term on a case-by-case basis.

5. Course Changes & Cancellations by Smart Study ACCA

  • Course Changes: Smart Study ACCA reserves the right to make changes to course content, schedules, or instructors when necessary. In the event of significant changes, we will inform you in advance. If these changes materially affect your learning experience, you may be eligible for a partial refund.
  • Course Cancellation: If we cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances or lack of enrolment, you will be entitled to a full refund or the option to transfer to another course.

6. Non-Refundable Items

  • Downloaded Digital Content: Any content that has already been accessed, streamed, or downloaded is not eligible for a refund, as it is considered used once accessed.
  • Payment Fees: Any transaction or processing fees charged by third-party payment processors are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

7. Consumer Rights

This Refund & Return Policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel most online or distance purchases within 14 days for a full refund. However, this does not apply to digital products that have already been downloaded or accessed.
